HR Assistant / Administrator

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Assistant / Administrator for a twelve-month, fixed term contract.

Based from our manufacturing site in Castlecary, Cumbernauld, the successful candidate will provide day-to-day HR administration support to the business, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and best practice. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the Time and Attendance system
  • Attendance management
  • Recruitment
  • Administration associated with new starters, leavers and changes to Ts and Cs
  • Supporting with disciplinary and grievance investigations and hearings
  • Producing data for monthly / ad hoc HR reports
  • Coordination of SVQ qualifications

The ideal candidate will be:

  • An experienced HR Assistant / Administrator with at least 2 years’ experience (manufacturing experience would be beneficial)
  • Confident in the use of Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Experienced with HR systems (time and attendance experience would be beneficial)

Site Manager

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, your key responsibilities will be:

  • To liaise with the CMS design team and ensure a technical knowledge of the project is understood;
  • To recruit and manage all on site sub-contract and books in labour (including ensuring all CMS “ready to work” documentation is complete and approved prior to starting on site);
  • To ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff within the construction site, including the completion of required CMS Health and Safety documentation;
  • To attend all required progress/technical meetings on site and report back as required.
  • To ensure appropriate level of correspondence with sub-contractor and client teams is maintained via the use of email, daily progress reports and weekly progress updates
  • To liaise with production and despatch teams to ensure timely delivery of package materials to site and associated drawings as required;
  • To maintain and monitor all site quality control, check and approve all complete installed works via the use of CMS sign-off documentation firstly with sub-contractor and then with client teams until satisfactory sign-off is achieved;

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Able to read and understand product functions from technical diagrams, instruction manuals and design drawings.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication, time management and organisation skills.
  • In possession of a full, clean driving license and a current CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS.
  • Experience of working with a commercial glazing contractor would be beneficial.

Project Manager

This is a varied and exciting role suitable for an experienced Project Manager.  Reporting to the Senior Project Manager within the PVC Contracts teams, your key responsibilities will be:

  • To attend pre-start meetings relating to allocated projects (Internal and with Client);
  • To liaise with allocated design staff members and ensure a technical knowledge of the project is understood, review specifications and current drawings from relevant third parties and ensure you are up to speed with current timeframes of design release and approval, have hard copy on site of all current CMS drawings at Construction status;
  • To review the construction programme;
  • To recruit and manage all on site sub-contract and books in;
  • To negotiate final selling cost and managing associated labour budgets for all on site sub-contract and books in labour (including planning and organising the issue of all sub-contract orders and variations to work via the accounts and commercial team in advance of site start) until completion and handover of project;
  • To negotiate the final purchase cost and managing associated plant requirements;
  • To attend all required progress/technical meetings on site or in-house take notes and distribute to appropriate personnel/client team by return within a timely fashion;
  • To ensure appropriate level of correspondence with sub-contractor and client teams is maintained via the use of email, daily progress reports and weekly progress updates where minutes are taken and distribute at the weekly project managers meetings – (Please note all incoming client correspondence must be review at least once daily and where appropriate responded to within an acceptable timeframe, no longer than 24 hours where a return is requested);
  • To liaise with production and despatch teams to ensure timely delivery of package materials to site and associated drawings as required inclusive of all required flashings and sundries as appropriate;
  • To maintain and monitor all site quality control, check and approve all complete installed works, firstly with sub-contractor and then with client teams until satisfactory sign-off is achieved;

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication, time management and organisation skills.
  • In possession of a full, clean driving license and a current CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS.

Experience of working with a commercial glazing contractor would be beneficial.

Servicing Co-ordinator

This is a varied and exciting role suitable for an experienced Servicing Co-ordinator to join our team on a permanent basis.

Based at our Head Office in Castlecary, Cumbernauld and reporting to the Customer Care and Servicing Manager you will be part of a small team, playing an active role in supporting our growing business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately recording customer information into Eworks;
  • Co-ordinate and allocate appointments for service engineers;
  • Create supporting documents, confirming appointments to customers/tenants;
  • To keep the ‘unassigned’ and ‘action required’ to a minimum and monitor these daily;
  • Produce and send weekly reports to customer who require this;
  • Ordering outside purchases as required
  • Liase with tenants, clients and internal departments on a daily basis in order to resolve queries and complaints.
  • To provide up to date and accurate information/printouts for service engineers;
  • To log and report customer satisfaction KPI’s;
  • Monitoring the contents of the engineer cage on a bi-weekly basis to ensure materials are being used;

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong IT capability.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to work as part of a team.

Experience within manufacturing or construction industry is desirable.

PVC fabricators - Cumbernauld

 

Due to continued growth, CMS Window Systems are looking to recruit experienced Window and Door Fabricators for a number of permanent positions.

We are able to offer the right candidates:

  • Very competitive pay rates – we have recently increased our pay rates to up to £11.00 per hour for dayshift and up to £14.50 per hour for nightshift with enhanced rates for overtime.
  • Weekly production bonus – payable based on quality and production targets.
  • Shift patterns covering 5 week days, 39 hours per week – dayshift and nightshift hours may be available with optional overtime at weekends.
  • Travel Support – additional travel allowances and / or car share schemes will be considered for employees who live further afield.
  • Great working environment – our main manufacturing facility is based at our site in Castlecary, Cumbernauld with onsite parking and café facilities.

Window and / or door fabricators - Kirkcaldy

Due to continued growth, CMS Window Systems are opening a brand new door manufacturing facility at our site in Kirkcaldy, Fife.  We are looking to recruit experienced Window and / or Door Fabricators for a number of permanent positions.

We are able to offer the right candidates:
