HR Manager

This is a varied and exciting role suitable for an experienced HR Manager. Working out of our Castlecary Site and reporting to the Business Systems Director, you will have responsibility for a full time HR Officer. The role requires the provision of a full professional HR service to the Senior Management Team and Department managers in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience working at Management level, you will also be Degree qualified and/or hold a relevant CIPD Qualification along with a solid understanding of employment law and its practical application.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, combined with excellent IT/administrative skills, be detail orientated, systematic and organised. In addition, you will have the ability to effectively challenge, influence and persuade key stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • To lead and direct the human resource team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business;
  • To ensure that resource needs are identified and managed strategically in line with business needs, internally through an effective Succession Planning Process and externally as required;
  • To ensure that all recruitment is conducted in accordance with internal and legal processes;
  • To advise on and ensure consistent processes are followed with respect to employee relations, including managing absence, disciplinary action, grievance and sickness;
  • To monitor, oversee and measure absence and labour turnover, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement;
  • To manage general employment and compliance to regulatory concerns;
  • To ensure policy development and documentation is up to date with changes in legislation and changes in the business;
  • To keep abreast of developments in Employment Legislation and provide advice and support to Management accordingly;
  • To coach managers on performance management issues and processes;
  • To implement the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement;
  • To drive and facilitate company-wide employee communication through Employee Representative groups;
  • To measure employee satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement;
  • To work in conjunction with the Finance Director and Senior Management team in order to ensure compensation and benefits are aligned with market trends and legislatively compliant;
  • To maintain a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys/benchmarking exercises; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions

PVC & Aluminium Window & Door Fabricator

Working within a busy Fabrication Department, reporting to The Production Manager, the successful candidates will be an experienced Window and Door Fabricator. In addition, candidates will be quality conscious and have the ability to work on a production line as part of a team. Opportunities available in all areas of PVC & Aluminium Window & Door fabrication.
