Sheet Metal Operative

This is a varied and exciting role suitable for an experienced Sheet Metal Operative. Reporting to the Sheet Metal Supervisor, you will be responsible for cutting sheets to form weld materials from engineering drawings;

  • Working with sheet metal up to 6mm thick;
  • You must be able to understand and interpret technical drawing;
  • Ensure machinery used is in safe working order and any issues/defects are reported immediately;
  • You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work on your own and as part of a team.

PVC Window Fabricator

Due to a continued period of substantial growth, CMS Window Systems are urgently looking to recruit experienced and trainee Window and Door Fabricators for a number of permanent positions.

Contract Co-ordinator

This is a varied and exciting role suitable for an experienced Contracts Coordinator to join us on a permanent basis.

Based at our Hayfield Site, Kirkaldy. Along with reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will work closely with the contract delivery team and customers representatives to assist with day to day coordination, communication and project delivery. Playing an active role in supporting our growing business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • General administration and clerical support to the delivery team;
  • Scanning delivery notes and sending to appropriate person/department;
  • Interrogation of databases for queries regarding orders;
  • Liaising with customers dealing with complaints/queries and updates;
  • Liaising with Door Factory Production Manager for delivery notes and associated paperwork received in depot;
  • Progressing of remakes and items missing from deliveries;
  • Liaising with team leader with regard to shortages etc;
  • Liaising with admin for order no’s for timber etc. that may be required for contracts;
  • Scanning glass deliveries in/out of depot for CMS;

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong IT capability specifically excel.
  • Ability to work independently and part of an extended team.

Experience within manufacturing or construction industry is desirable.

Site Manager

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to manage the installation works on our PVC window and door refurbishment projects.

Based at our Hayfield Site, Kirkcaldy you will report to the Contracts Manager.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Liaising with the CMS design team and ensure a technical knowledge of the project is understood;
  • Recruiting and managing all on site sub-contract and books in labour, ensuring all documentation is complete and approved prior to starting on site.
  • Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff on the site, including the completion of the required CMS Health and Safety documentation;
  • Attending all required progress / technical meetings and reporting back as required.
  • Ensuring an appropriate level of correspondence with sub-contractor and client teams is maintained via the use of email, daily progress reports and weekly progress updates
  • Liaising with production and dispatch teams to ensure timely delivery of package materials to site and associated drawings as required.
  • Maintaining and monitoring all site quality control, checking and approving all complete installed works via the use of CMS sign-off documentation firstly with sub-contractor and then with client teams until satisfactory sign-off is achieved.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Able to read and understand product functions from technical diagrams, instruction manuals and design drawings.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication, time management and organisation skills.
  • In possession of a full, clean driving license and a current CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS.
  • Experience of working with a commercial glazing contractor would be beneficial.

Trainee Planner

This is a varied and exciting role suitable for an enthusiastic trainee who is looking to take their first step into a career in Aluminium Supply Chain Planning.  This is a dedicated 4-year program which will give you all the training you need to progress in your career.

You will assist the Aluminium supply chain planning manager to ensure the production schedule is monitored and maintained as well as procurement of materials. The ideal candidate will be computer literate and would benefit from having an aluminium fabrication background but it is not essential.

  • Working with team members to establish project requirements;
  • Working with team members to build delivery programmes;
  • Ensure that that the team has full visibility of post contract program requirements and that resources are allocated accordingly, taking cognisance of the contract start date;
  • Ensure parity of Drawings between Drawing date and varying contract start dates;
  • Review and measure the performance of suppliers and benchmark then in terms of OTIF delivery.
  • Ensure that continual improvement is built into the surveying process and that corrective actions are implemented for instances of non-conformance.
  • Ensure all materials are ordered in conjunction with manufacturing programme and installation programmes;

Lead, CRM and Sales Support

Due to sustained business growth, we are currently recruiting for a Lead, CRM & Sales Support person. Working as part of the Business Development team, this newly created position will support manage, update and populate our Sage CRM database system with company generated leads, creating statistical trend analysis and providing relevant reports whilst liaising with the Sales & Marketing departments.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage leads that come into the company from various sources and work with the sales and estimating departments to keep these up to date.
  • Manage the Sage 200 CRM system and keep all information relevant.
  • Support Sales & Marketing departments to grow the Leadbank.
  • Work closely with Marketing, looking at specific area’s to target and manage leads that come out of campaigns.
  • Be the point of contact and liaise directly with the source, for all lead types.
  • Administer all leads into Sage CRM for facades and the social & new build departments creating a pipeline for sales.
  • Manage the pipeline and work closely with the relevant estimating and sales departments on quotes.
  • Manage the information on the Sage 200 CRM system to make sure the information is up to date and relevant.
  • Work alongside the trade sales representative to manage the Insight Data CRM system ensuring relevant information and details are being updated.
  • Generate reports based on enquiries, quotes and jobs won and lost.
  • Build up and manage the database of all our customers.
  • Managing company data information.
  • Assist marketing with internal & external events.
  • Assist with the preparation of marketing material for sales and marketing events.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant marketing and business management qualifications & experience
  • Strong graphic & InDesign experience
  • Able to demonstrate excellent PC system, organisational, administrative and communication skills and have the ability to organise personal workloads in response to priorities.
  • Have previously worked with Sage 200 CRM or have other CRM experience
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to foster close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Aluminium Fabricator (Castlecary)

This is a varied and exciting role suitable for an experienced Aluminium Fabricator. Reporting to the Aluminium Factory Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring orders are completed to a high standard to meet deadlines;

Aluminium Fabricator Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate equipment efficiently and safely as required to your area;
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings; 
  • Fabricate doors / windows and curtain walling in line with LEAN Manufacturing criteria and CMS quality standards and customer expectations;
  • Ensure the machinery used is in safe working order and any issues/defects are reported immediately;

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 3 years working within an aluminium fabricating role
  • Good communications skills
  • Can work on own initiative

Façade Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Façade Engineer to work with the Design Manager to ensure the steady and feasible construction of façade works. for a full-time, permanent position.

Based from our manufacturing site in Castlecary, Cumbernauld, the successful candidate will work closely with the Design/BIM Manager to ensure the steady and feasible construction of façade works. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating, revising & issue Revit model & design drawings to clients;
  • Receive & log all incoming models & drawings from client/architect etc;
  • Schedule all materials for site use from design drawings;
  • Raise NCR & re-order any materials with errors due to design;
  • Collate any variation costs & submit to Commercial Manager;
  • Create fabrication drawings for flashings;
  • Create fabrication drawings for brackets;
  • Create packages for installation teams detailing all fitting details, fixings etc;
  • Create & Issue O&M information for completed projects;
  • Safely store materials such that they are easily located;
  • Ensure activities undertaken are completed as per agreed timescales;
  • Produce standard SER information and collate report for review;
  • Create and issue drawing release programmes;
  • Attend design meetings where required;
  • Adhere to company drawing / modelling standards.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant qualification
  • Have experience in a range of façade systems with the ability to develop the relevant solutions for a given project. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge in the fabrication and procurement of façades. 
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and an ability to work in a busy environment with competing deadlines.

PVC fabricators - Cumbernauld

Due to continued growth, CMS Window Systems are looking to recruit experienced Window and Door Fabricators for a number of permanent positions.

We are able to offer the right candidates:

  • Very competitive pay rates – we have recently increased our pay rates to up to £11.00 per hour for dayshift and up to £14.50 per hour for nightshift with enhanced rates for overtime.
  • Weekly production bonus – payable based on quality and production targets.
  • Shift patterns covering 5 week days, 39 hours per week – dayshift and nightshift hours may be available with optional overtime at weekends.
  • Travel Support – additional travel allowances and / or car share schemes will be considered for employees who live further afield.
