Trade Sales Representative

Due to sustained business growth, we are currently recruiting for an experienced PVCu Window and Door Trade Sales Representative.

Working as part of the Business Development team, this newly created position will support with securing the revenue and margin for the trade sector; ensuring that customers are provided with a first in class service from start to finish.

The role will be based from our manufacturing site in East Kilbride with a requirement to travel across the central belt of Scotland and occasionally beyond, based on customer requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the Business Development team to deliver a pipeline of opportunities of appropriate type and quality, and of a size sufficient to deliver the targeted new business for trade sales;
  • Securing appropriate market intelligence and fostering networks of contacts across the trade sector and supplying accurate and timely intelligence and leads;
  • Ensuring individual sales targets are met and contribute to team success;
  • Regular engagement with clients and vendors to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues;
  • Providing customers with brochures and samples as appropriate;
  • Working with manufacturing and planning, to ensure customer delivery dates are met;
  • Liaising with customers to gain feedback on projects;
  • Ensuring information held on business systems is up to date and accurate.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience within the PVCu Window and Door industry, working with and selling to trade.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with an ability to build strong and successful relationships.

Technical Production Processor

Due to sustained business growth, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Production Processor to be based from our Head Office near Cumbernauld.

Working as part of the PVCu Commercial Estimating team, this role will support the Estimating team with processing the technical requirements from customer orders through to production.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and understanding tender documentation (including drawings, details and technical specifications) and determining the manufacturing requirements.
  • Producing accurate ‘take-offs’ from Bill of Quantities and architectural technical drawings.
  • Inputting take offs and project details into manufacturing processing software (Evolution).
  • Liaising with clients / architects to sign off manufacturing schedules.
  • Creating master production schedules for manufacture using excel, based on signs off from client.
  • Liaising with other members of the commercial team to ensure any changes to tender information are captured.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a production processing role with an ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong IT capability.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to work as part of a team.

Part-time Receptionist

Location: Castlecary, Cumbernauld

Hours of Work:

23.25 hour week (M-T, 0745 – 1230, F – 0745 - 1200)

This is a varied and exciting role suitable for an experienced Receptionist. A minimum of 2 years’ experience is essential, and experience gained in the manufacturing sector is preferred. Reporting to the Customer Care Manager, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and dealing with enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work on your own and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • To greet all visitors and ensure that security procedures are adhered to
  • To answer general telephone and email queries
  • To take and relay messages
  • To sort and scan incoming mail and frank outgoing mail
  • To manage incoming and outgoing faxes
  • To provide general administration and clerical support
  • To organise conference and meeting room bookings
  • To co-ordinate meetings and organise catering
  • To assist the Customer Care Manager as necessary

Aluminium Fabricator (Castlecary)

This is a varied and exciting role suitable for an experienced Aluminium Fabricator. Reporting to the Aluminium Factory Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring orders are completed to a high standard to meet deadlines;

Aluminium Fabricator Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate equipment efficiently and safely as required to your area;
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings; 
  • Fabricate doors / windows and curtain walling in line with LEAN Manufacturing criteria and CMS quality standards and customer expectations;
  • Ensure the machinery used is in safe working order and any issues/defects are reported immediately;

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 3 years working within an aluminium fabricating role
  • Good communications skills
  • Can work on own initiative

Façade Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Façade Engineer to work with the Design Manager to ensure the steady and feasible construction of façade works. for a full-time, permanent position.

Based from our manufacturing site in Castlecary, Cumbernauld, the successful candidate will work closely with the Design/BIM Manager to ensure the steady and feasible construction of façade works. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating, revising & issue Revit model & design drawings to clients;
  • Receive & log all incoming models & drawings from client/architect etc;
  • Schedule all materials for site use from design drawings;
  • Raise NCR & re-order any materials with errors due to design;
  • Collate any variation costs & submit to Commercial Manager;
  • Create fabrication drawings for flashings;
  • Create fabrication drawings for brackets;
  • Create packages for installation teams detailing all fitting details, fixings etc;
  • Create & Issue O&M information for completed projects;
  • Safely store materials such that they are easily located;
  • Ensure activities undertaken are completed as per agreed timescales;
  • Produce standard SER information and collate report for review;
  • Create and issue drawing release programmes;
  • Attend design meetings where required;
  • Adhere to company drawing / modelling standards.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant qualification
  • Have experience in a range of façade systems with the ability to develop the relevant solutions for a given project. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge in the fabrication and procurement of façades. 
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and an ability to work in a busy environment with competing deadlines.

Health & Safety Advisor

This is a varied and exciting role suitable for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor and will be based at our Head Office in Castlecary, Cumbernauld. Reporting to the H&S Manager you will provide advice and support to the H&S function.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the delivery and tracking of Office based Health and Safety Inductions.
  • Assisting Managers with the organisation and booking of Health and Safety related Training.
  • Working in conjunction with the Human Resource and Commercial Departments to develop a common database of information specific to Health and Safety competence training.
  • Post development of the above liaising with relevant Managers to ensure refresher training where required is carried out in a timely manner.
  • Carrying out weekly Health and Safety inspections on a rotational basis using our iAuditor Software across the operational functions of our business and reporting and actioning improvements within area of responsibility.
  • Assisting the Health and Safety Manager to carry out live Project Site Health and Safety Inspections using our iAuditor Software, reporting and actioning improvements within area of responsibility always ensuring we are meeting our obligations under current legislation including The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
  • Attending training courses and Health and Safety Forums as required to continually improve knowledge and understanding of current legislation and company standards.
  • Assisting the Health and Safety Manager with the preparation of regular reports on compliance and activity for presentation to our Senior Management Team.
  • To investigate, or where appropriate, to assist others to investigate the circumstances and causes of incidents and accidents and take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence
  • To monitor, evaluate and review Health and Safety policy and practice, make recommendations and implement new policies and procedures as required.
  • Assisting the Health and Safety Manager to support our Managers in the maintenance of safe systems of work providing advice, coaching and practical hands on support.
  • Assisting Managers and Staff with the development, implementation, communication and review of Safe Systems of Work in accordance with current legislation  including Safe Working methodologies, Risk Assessment, COSHH Assessments etc
  • Assist in driving a positive Health and Safety culture across all areas of our business.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience within a similar role.
  • An awareness / working knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.
  • A relevant Health and Safety Qualification i.e. NEBOSH is preferred.
  • Excellent organisation skills, communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Strong IT capability.

Experience within manufacturing or construction industry is desirable.

PVC fabricators - Cumbernauld

Due to continued growth, CMS Window Systems are looking to recruit experienced Window and Door Fabricators for a number of permanent positions.

We are able to offer the right candidates:

  • Very competitive pay rates – we have recently increased our pay rates to up to £11.00 per hour for dayshift and up to £14.50 per hour for nightshift with enhanced rates for overtime.
  • Weekly production bonus – payable based on quality and production targets.
  • Shift patterns covering 5 week days, 39 hours per week – dayshift and nightshift hours may be available with optional overtime at weekends.
  • Travel Support – additional travel allowances and / or car share schemes will be considered for employees who live further afield.
  • Great working environment – our main manufacturing facility is based at our site in Castlecary, Cumbernauld with onsite parking and café facilities.

  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in operations such as cutting, routing, assembling, general machining & fabrication, using hand & power tools.
  • Able to follow procedures and instructions, especially those relating to safety and quality.
  • A good attention to detail and a capability to check and measure work to ensure a high standard of quality.
  • An ability to operate well using your own initiative and to contribute as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm towards achieving quality and productivity targets as well as developing your own skills.
