Twelve female members of staff at CMS Window Systems are feeling rosy after taking part in Cancer Research UK’s Glasgow Race for Life.
The CMS Window Systems team raised £2000 to support the charity’s life-saving research into all types of cancer completing the five kilometre Glasgow run, which began at the Saltmarket and continued around the city, before crossing the finish line at Glasgow Green in the East End.
Commercial Director Marie McGilly, who took part in the race, said: “Cancer Research UK does invaluable work in the effort towards finding cures for all types of cancer, and the ladies at CMS were proud to give their support at the Glasgow Race for Life.
“Many of our lives have been touched by cancer in some way, and several of us ran the race in support or in memory of a loved one. The race itself was challenging but very rewarding, and participating as part of the CMS team was a great feeling.”
Now in its 22nd year, more than eight million women have taken part in a Race for Life, raising over £547 million to fund Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work.
