If you were setting up a trade window and door factory for today’s installer, what would you do differently? That was exactly the question we started with in the creation of CMS Trade, the new dedicated trade division of award-winning window and door company CMS Window Systems.
Having successfully set up several window and door manufacturing plants in the past 13 years, our team already had a head start on what efficient, safe fabrication and assembly lines should look like. But that was just the start – here we have the opportunity to create something that’s totally in tune with what installers need to maintain a competitive edge and build a five star reputation with their customers. So, here’s what we prioritised:
We have kitted-out our new East Kilbride factory with brand new, state-of-the-art machinery from the world’s best including Urban and Stuga. Combine this kit with a really skilled team of fabricators and thorough quality control procedures and you’ve got the perfect mix to ensure our windows and doors are manufactured right to a high quality every time. Attention to detail is our obsession, and we can produce the neatest corner welds possible on this scale, with a virtually invisible 0.2mm joint ensuring superb visual appeal.
We use Eurocell and REHAU PVCu profile systems to give installers two options to suit end customer’s requirements and budgets. Both are installer favourites in the private residential and small commercial sectors, so you’ll be in familiar territory if you have installed these systems in the past. These systems, in combination with hinges, locking systems, handles and hardware from Yale and UK-made double glazed units by Saint-Gobain Glass, give installers top quality windows and doors that look great and will stand the test of time.
How much do you fork out every year for disposing of the windows and doors that you remove as part of replacement jobs? We think it is too much, which is why we are giving installers a free recycling service. Simply drop off your old windows and doors when you come into order or collect your new ones, and we will make sure they are fully recycled. We can do this because we have our own award-winning recycling facility at Cumbernauld, which last year diverted 100% of the post-use windows and doors received away from landfill. That’s a powerful selling point for your customers too.
It almost goes without saying, but we all like dealing with people who are on our side and working in our interests. That’s why we’ve brought in a great team of people who are there for you from your initial enquiry through to delivery or collection. You want your trade supplier to go the extra mile and at CMS Trade we will always do so.
Some trade suppliers have tried to squeeze lead times on their windows and doors, which may sound great, but unfortunately, we’re seen growing evidence from across the UK of product quality falling below par and deliveries not actually turning up on time. That’s why wanted to make sure our delivery times are realistic and dependable. Our standard 10-day lead time is what most installers are comfortable with, and it gives us the right timeframe to manufacture your products to the quality you expect.
By offering a choice of windows and doors manufactured from the ever-popular Eurocell systems, and the premium-quality German-engineered REHAU profiles, we offer installers different price points to best serve their customers’ needs. We promise to be competitive on both ranges of windows and doors, plus we’ll give you added value through our money-saving recycling service and quality assurances.
Every project is different, so it is important for your trade supplier to offer everything you need from a single source. CMS Trade’s range of window styles includes casement windows, reversible windows, tilt and turns, French doors, PVCu entrance doors and more, plus we also manufacture aluminium sliding and bi-fold doors for more contemporary and hi-end installations. Our PVCu windows and doors are also available in six standard colours, with options on handles and hardware to match.
